JDR Engineering is searching for accomplished and experienced engineers/designers with the passion and motivation to contribute to innovative engineering design projects. Currently, we are accepting applications for the following positions:

  • Revit/CAD Technician
    A computer aided Design Technician will be responsible for AutoCAD and Revit/BIM development of Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing systems plans.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to reading drawings, using GD&T, and producing accurate representation of markups provided. Revit/BIM experience desired with the ability to navigate the menu bar, use various mechanical systems, and use families/content to generate views on 3D model. Must have the ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects with competing deadlines while maintaining the level of quality for each project required to meet the standards established by the client and the company.
  • Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer
    Responsibilites include layout and design of lighting, power, and low voltage electrical systems through construction documents and construction administration. Candidate shall be able to perform electrical system design calculations, interpret and prepare reports, prepare cost estimates, and produce deliverable specification and drawing sets including site plans, lighting plans, power plans, low voltage systems plans, one-line diagrams, schedules, and details. Experience using AutoCad, Revit, SKM, and Easy Power software programs are preferred. Professional Engineering License, Registered Designer License, or the ability to become licensed is preferred, but not required to apply. 
  • Sr. Plumbing Engineer/Designer
    The ideal candidate will have knowledge in the design of plumbing and piping systems and plumbing fixtures in buildings and facilities. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of engineering tasks associated with the planning, analysis, and design of plumping and piping for commercial office buildings, hospitals and medical buildings, K-12 schools and university facilities, municipal buildings, and more. The position requires the ability to work well with other disciplines such as Architectural, Structural, HVAC, and Electrical. Candidates with experience in AutoCad and Revit/BIM is a plus, but not required. The position requires a motivated self-starter, with excellent organization and communication skills. Professional Engineering License, Registered Designer License, or the ability to become licensed is preferred but not required to apply.
  • Mechanical Engineer/Designer
    Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the organization and management of HVAC design efforts for significant, multiple, simultaneous projects in either single or multiple disciplinary environments. Preparing engineering drawings within HVAC specialty for a variety of healthcare, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.  Responsible for using technical skills in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques and procedures in the development of unique design solutions. Professional Engineering License, Registered Designer License, or the ability to become licensed is preferred but not required to apply.
