HARRINGTON HALLHarrington Hall was originally built in 1913 and has been remodeled many times since then with the biggest remodel prior to this being in 1964. Sitting on UW-Oshkosh’s campus Harrington Hall houses the geology and anthropology departments providing classrooms, labs, and collection storage.
JDR Engineering is providing HVAC, electrical, and plumbing designs. This project entails the replacement of the existing HVAC system using a new 4-pipe fan coil system with a Dedicated Outside Air System (DOAS) that will provide both air condition and heating to the building. This system will also improve the outside air ventilation for the building. In addition to the HVAC system modifications, JDR engineers designed the remodel of the plumbing and electrical for the first-floor bathrooms to ensure they are up to date with the current ADA requirements.
JDR Engineering has a long-standing working relationship with Northstar. This particular project includes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design work within this 48,340 square foot facility, including the new construction addition. The space holds shipping/receiving areas, various types of labs, waste management areas, office spaces, and miscellaneous support areas.
JDR Engineering is providing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low voltage design for the new police department which is currently in the bidding stage. A key component of this project was the creation of public engagement areas, designed to foster direct interaction between community members and facility staff, thereby strengthening the department’s relationship with the community. The 30,000 square foot building also features a garage, evidence storage, a vault, holding cells and a locker rooms that are individually heated and cooled.
