Just to name a few....
- HARRINGTON HALL
Harrington Hall was originally built in 1913 and has been remodeled many times since then with the biggest remodel prior to this being in 1964. Sitting on UW-Oshkosh’s campus Harrington Hall houses the geology and anthropology departments providing classrooms, labs, and collection storage.
JDR Engineering is providing HVAC, electrical, and plumbing designs. This project entails the replacement of the existing HVAC system using a new 4-pipe fan coil system with a Dedicated Outside Air System (DOAS) that will provide both air condition and heating to the building. This system will also improve the outside air ventilation for the building. In addition to the HVAC system modifications, JDR engineers designed the remodel of the plumbing and electrical for the first-floor bathrooms to ensure they are up to date with the current ADA requirements.
- THE GARDENS RESIDENTIAL CARE APARTMENT COMPLEX
The Gardens Retirement Community is a 10-story tower overlooking the Hilldale shopping district and is classified as both a Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF) and Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC). The newly renovated facility includes 30 CBRF and memory care units and 65 RCAC units.
While assisting the design-build contractor, JDR performed extensive code research to the the exisitng CBRF and RCAC facility to current code requirements. Field verification of existing building heating and cooling system was performed to determine viability of existing equipment to determine whether they could be re-used within the renovated building scope. New fan coil units were provided with updated controls to provide the new tenants with better occupant comfort while also providing more efficient units.
